Sublimation printing is a digital printing process that uses heat and pressure to transfer dye onto different materials that are high in polyester.

The full process (since you asked):

1. I print a design onto special sublimation transfer paper using sublimation inks that are installed in my sublimation printer. (I know lots of 'sublimation' going on here.)
2. Then, I place the paper onto a high polyester count fabric or prepared object and heat it with a heat press at very high heat.
3. The heat turns the inks into a gas, and the polyester material absorbs the ink. The ink will only adhere to the polyester fibers.
4. As a result, we get a permanent, vibrant print that won’t crack over time.

TADA, there you have it, science did pay off in high school!

The sublimation inks will only adhere to the polyester fibers of the fabric, etc. The higher the poly count the more vibrant the design will be. The lower the poly count (48-50%), the design may look vintage or faded. No poly, the second it is washed then the design will go away.

No. unfortunately, I am only able to sublimate on lighter color fabrics. The inks may adhere but will not be visible to the eye and they will blend with the color of the fabric, kinda like blending crayon colors, some colors may change shades if not printed on white fabric. Which also means even on lighter colors, anything white in the design will be the fabric color. Golly, I hope that makes sense!

Well, the bleached tees are all bleached by me (not ordered) and no two are ever alike. It's just the way it is. I have spent many long hours perfecting the bleaching process and would never sell anything that I wouldn't wear myself!

Well, I am a one woman show, and I would love to offer next day but sometimes that is not possible or even logical, so at this time I offer a 5-7 business day turn around. (Holidays, weekends and my personal vacations do not count in business days.)
